How do I sell something I made online?

I wrote a computer program and I want to sell it, nothing expensive but I want to try to sell it online. I fear breaking some unknown complex tax law or something, so please help me. what do I need to do? what are my tax obligations? what papers might I need to file? what do I need to do?
