Can this hurt my baby?

I am 36 weeks pregnant and last night we made some potato cerole which had sour cream in it. I was told if you heat up sour cream it can make you sick. But I myself have eaten that before and have not gotten sick from it. Today I ate some of the leftovers and called my dr.s before I ate it to make sure it was ok. She said as long as it wasn't left out for a few hours before getting put back in the fridge it would be fine. So I ate a small plate. Do you think it should be fine? I ate it about an hour ago and feel fine still. Just a little heart burn. If I did get sick what would I get? And how could it effect the baby or does it at all? Sorry if it sounds dumb but I'm a first timer and believe the only dumb question is the one that's not asked.
