Leg now 1.5 inches sorter after hip op?

Had my hip shaved up about 6 weeks ago, still on crutches and in alot of pain at times. I went to physio for 3 weeks and on the 3rd week the phiso though i had fractured my necifeumiur because they also shaved that up to so they sent me straight down to A and E and x-rayed me and a cconsultantsaid im 1.5- 2 inches shorter on the one side, Im seeing surgeon tomorrow but not sure what to say to him because i dont now if they are in the wrong or me. any tips
