Can I use outdoor tanning lotion in a tanning BOOTH?

In the STANDUP tanning booth, could I use outdoor lotion? The indoor ones they sell there are soooo expensive, they want like 30-40 bucks for a little bottle and thats outrageous. I've heard it ruins the lights or whatever in the bed, but if i do standup, what could happen? I dont see why not..
